Anyone can apply for housing, including people who are already in a Council property who wish to move.

There is no paper application form – There are two ways to apply:

1) You need to register using an online form for our Gateway to Homechoice lettings system at http://www.babergh.gov.uk/housing/looking-for-a-home/registering-for-gateway-to-homechoice/

 

2)         By completing the form over the phone with a member of staff    by contacting us on 0300 123 4000

Online applications can be made on behalf of individuals by family, friends or support advocates.

Self Build

The Self-build and Custom Housebuilding Act 2015 places a duty on all local authorities in England to keep and have regard to a register of people who are interested in self build or custom build projects in their area, details of the Babergh register are available from the Babergh website by clicking here.
