To All Residents registered with The Long Melford Practice
In compliance with the advice issued by the NHS, The Long Melford Practice will be calling you to make an appointment for you to receive your annual winter flu jab.
Everyone eligible will also be offered a Covid 19 booster vaccine to be given at the same time, if the Practice has vaccine at that time. After rigorous research, government scientific advisers have concluded that both can be administered at the same time. You can find further details at:
If the Covid 19 booster vaccine is not available at the time of your ‘flu jab, a further appointment will be made for you. The Practice will call you to make an appointment at a time of your convenience.
To avoid blocking the switchboard please DO NOT ring the Practice unless you have an illness that requires medical attention. You will be rung.
Please ignore advice currently being given out by 119 that the two vaccines cannot be given together. It is incorrect.
