Cockfield Parish Council wishes to thank all those who turned out over the weekend of the 16/17th March to clear litter from the verges, footpaths and communal areas in the village. A record amount of litter was cleared and the village looks so much better for it.

As usual there were an awful lot of sandwich wrappers, cans and plastic bottles but the find of the day was a very muddy £5 note which was duly ”laundered” and was donated to the Kagera lent appeal!
