A group of African Americans, all of whose surnames were Cockfield, visited the Post Office and St Peter’s Church last month. They were a very happy jolly group who wanted to know as much as possible about Cockfield. Norman Kelly met them at St Peter’s and answered as many questions as he could about the history of Cockfield and the Church. One of the older Pastors (in his younger days) had met and been inspired by a Pastor from Cockfield and had always wanted to visit. Thankfully they now have contacts so we may have another visit sometime.
