At CATEY Pre-School (established in 1994) children from the age of 2 years are given the opportunity to learn, explore & discover skills through play in a safe & secure environment preparing them for the eventual move into primary education. In our friendly atmosphere the children are able to build their confidence, learn to communicate, co-operate, share & enjoy the company of other children & adults.
The curriculum for the foundation stage underpins all future learning by supporting, fostering & promoting all aspects of children’s development, concentrating specifically on; personal & social wellbeing, positive attitudes & dispositions, social skills, attention skills & persistence, language & communication, reading & writing, mathematics, knowledge & understanding of the world around us, physical development & creative development.
The Pre-School is well equipped with materials & learning resources to stimulate & build the children’s confidence & manipulative skills.
The Pre-School is securely situated within the Primary School grounds with access via the school playground.
We have a large covered outside learning area as well as the play area covered in AstroTurf.
