In 2021 the Royal British Legion are marking 100 years since the Nation’s collective Remembrance tradition was first brought together. To support this the Parish Council purchased a Tommy Statue which has been installed on Parsonage Green as a permanent feature.  The Tommy stands beside our village sign and is there to highlight all aspects of Military life associated with the village and beyond.

The silhouette and fleeting image of the Tommy is a poignant and effective reminder for the service and sacrifice of those who served historically and in recent times.
