Cockfield Parish Council have taken delivery of a VAS (Vehicle Activated Sign) device which will be installed, on a rolling programme, at various sites around the village, remaining in any one location for between 7 and 14 days before being moved to the next.
The machine will flash your speed if above 30mph and has a data collection facility, this means that as well as giving a warning to motorists through the activated sign face, we are able to keep track of the vehicle speed, count and date at different intervals for each passing vehicle.
